As a Trip Supervisor at Cornelissen in Pijnacker, you are the first point of contact for drivers and customers during the trip. You anticipate, communicate clearly, and act quickly: from roadside breakdowns to route changes and customer inquiries. You provide practical support to drivers, coordinate solutions, and keep customers informed. In doing so, you ensure that journeys run smoothly and contribute to our high quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Your role as Trip Supervisor

Our Pijnacker location is dynamic and hands-on — we get things done together. With many trips each week, no day is the same. You are the crucial link between the road and the office. You keep overview, identify bottlenecks, and make sure everything keeps running smoothly. The atmosphere? Typically Westland: down-to-earth, honest, and collegial. What you will do

• Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, charters, and customers during the trip.

• Identify deviations in routes, make adjustments, and arrange solutions (breakdowns, detours, loading and unloading issues).

• Inform customers about deviations and the status of transport assignments.

• Collaborate with team leaders, planners, fleet and loading-bay coordinators.

• Process transport documentation and monitor trip progress.

• Proactively suggest improvements and escalate potential issues in time.

• Ensure clear shift handovers through service reports.

• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including driving time regulations.

• Work flexibly in rotating shifts.

What you receive as a Trip Supervisor

• Salary in scale F: €3049 – €3710 gross per month (depending on experience, excluding allowances)

• 24 vacation days and 3.5 additional leave (ADV) days

• Working hours and days by arrangement: rotating shifts (05:00–13:30, 13:00–21:30, or 21:00–05:30)

• Flexibility, including weekends — for example one day or every other weekend, always in consultation
